By default all emails/reports sent from Agency Monitor are sent from
*youragencyname*@agencymonitor.io
To enable reports to be sent from your own custom domain, we provide two ways to integrate your email account. SMTP or SendGrid.
You can configure either of these from the Email menu, under settings. You will need to enter the following information. Your IT Administrator should be able to provide you with this.
- SMTP Server
- SMTP Port
- SMTP Encryption
- SMTP Username
- SMTP Password
Not all email hosts allow external apps like AgencyMonitor to send email on behalf of your domain via SMTP. If this is the case, we can route emails via our email delivery partner SendGrid.
To allow SendGrid to send emails on behalf of your domain, you will need to enter custom DNS records.
5-10 minutes after implementing the DNS records, please click “validate” to ensure that your domain is registered correctly.
In addition to being a great tool to monitor your SEO agencies performance metrics, we are also building a reporting tool that will allow your clients online access to their reports, and also the ability to email directly to a client with a PDF attachment.
Currently, we have 2 report templates, one regular report, and one ecommerce report (where the conversion numbers are swapped out for ecommerce numbers.) Our product roadmap includes adding a drag and drop report builder. We hope that you find the current reports useful, but keep an eye out for enhanced functionality and customisability.
To be able to send email from a custom domain, please see the Email settings section of the document.
The reporting feature can be accessed via the primary dashboard.
You can use the Date Period and “Generate” button to create a new report, or alternatively, your client reports will already generate on the 3rd of each month (this is to allow for the delay in the monthly GSC data to come through).
You can use the “settings” button to enter default email values that will be used for each report, or each individual report can have custom details set when clicking the “email” report option. All emails will be sent from the primary email address set in the overall app email settings.
To add comments to a report, you can use the “edit” option under the individual report settings.
Comments can be added using the rich text editor under each section of the report.
You can download a PDF version of the report, or use the “view” button to preview a report.
When you are ready to send, use the “Email” option. This will open prefilled with the default settings mentioned above, but can be customized for each report.
